myHandiQR in one hundred words

myHandiQR is an inclusive tool for explaining a disability. The profile creator writes three texts (introduction, how to help, what to avoid) and ticks the relevant disabilities from a list. A unique QR code generates a profile that anyone can scan. The reader enters their age and their relationship to the person, then reads the profile. When they click on a disability to understand what it is, the AI gives them an explanation tailored to their profile, to read or to listen to. A child, a teacher and a first responder don't get the same version. 3 months free, then $2/month (i.e. $24/year).

myHandiQR in three hundred words

What it is. myHandiQR is an inclusive communication tool, compliant with European standards. It's aimed at people living with a visible or invisible disability and at those around them.

The problem. Explaining a disability means repeating yourself. Every new school year, every new work team, every new doctor, every activity leader, you have to start all over again. For invisible disabilities (autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, anxiety, selective mutism, hypersensitivity, epilepsy), this burden is constant, especially for parents.

The solution. Two pillars. Making it known without starting from scratch each time: three texts written once and for all, shared via a QR code. A tailored explanation for each disability: the AI rewords it according to the reader's age and relationship to the person. Everything is also available as audio.

Who it's for. Parents of children with a disability, adults with a disability in professional or social settings, carers. On the other side: teachers, AESHs (teaching assistants for students with disabilities, in France), support workers, activity leaders, first-contact care providers.

Business model. A free trial of 3 months, then $2/month (i.e. $24/year). The profile is kept even if the subscription lapses.

What myHandiQR is not. Not a medical tool, not a health record, not a diagnostic tool. The profile is written freely by the creator in inclusive language.

Pillar 1, no more repeating yourself

The profile creator writes three texts, introduction, how to help, what to avoid. They tick the relevant disabilities from a list. They share a unique QR code. The reader reads the profile, that's all.

The same profile serves a whole school, social and working life. The person takes back control of how their way of working is told, without carrying the weight of it at every encounter.

Pillar 2, a tailored explanation

On a click on a disability, the AI rewords the explanation according to the reader's age and relationship to the person. An 8-year-old child, a teacher, a first responder and a manager don't get the same version.

The person's profile doesn't change. Only the explanation around the disability is calibrated. And everything is also available as audio.

Pillar 3, help with writing

Faced with a blank page, we often get stuck on the words. Each text field in the profile has a Reword button. The user writes freely, the AI suggests a calm version to approve.

Rewording on request, never automatically. The AI doesn't write in the user's place, it helps them get going again. Drafts and rewordings are not used to train a model.

At school

The QR code is stuck in the home-school notebook. The teacher scans it, reads the introduction and the tips, clicks on "dyspraxia" to understand what it is in an educational version designed for them.

No need for a parent-teacher meeting just to cover the basics.

At work

An adult with ADHD shares their QR code with a new colleague. The colleague reads the profile, clicks on "ADHD", gets a professional version.

The person didn't have to open up in a team meeting.

In an emergency

A person with epilepsy keeps a card in their wallet. A first responder scans it, reads "how to help" and "what to avoid" in ten seconds.

They click on "epilepsy" to go further if needed, or turn on the audio if their hands are full.

Press frequently asked questions

Why a QR code?

Because it's physical, easy to print, to stick, to slip into a wallet or a notebook. No login needed, no need for the person to install anything. They scan it with their phone and reach the profile.

How does the AI explain disabilities?

On a click on a disability, the AI generates an educational profile tailored to the reader's profile (age, relationship to the person). The person's profile doesn't change. Only the explanation around the disability is reworded.

Is the data protected?

Yes. Disability-related data is sensitive within the meaning of Article 9 of the GDPR. European hosting. The QR code can be revoked remotely: if the profile is no longer up to date or if the person wants to cut off access, scanning it returns nothing.

Is it a medical tool?

No. myHandiQR is neither a medical record nor a diagnostic tool. The profile creator freely writes three texts in inclusive language.

What's the business model?

3 months free, then $2/month (i.e. $24/year). No commitment. If the subscription isn't renewed, the QR code stops working but the profile is kept.

Who can create a profile?

An adult with a disability, for themselves. A parent, for their minor child. A legal guardian, for the person in their care.
